Happy Monday! And what better way to kick off a new week than with a fun cocktail recipe? When some people are dealing with stress they like to bake or cook in order to distract themselves for a while. Me? I like to create cocktails.
I originally saw a version of this recipe on the Day Owl Rosé website, but we love bubbles so I swapped out the regular rosé for sparkling rosé. Our favorite is the pink sparkling rosé from Mumm. We can never keep enough bottles in stock!
If you choose to use regular rosé you can add it to the cocktail shaker with the other ingredients before shaking. But because of the bubbles in the sparkling rosé you add that at the end instead of shaking it up.
The result is a light and subtly sweet margarita that is the perfect summer accessory!
Ingredients:
4 oz Sparkling Rose
1 oz Tequila
1/2 oz Agave Syrup
1/2 Lime
1/2 Lemon
Combine tequila, agave syrup, plus juice of the lemon and lime in a cocktail shaker. Shake vigorously and pour into a glass over ice. Top with the sparkling rosé, stir, and serve. To salt the rim rub a lime slice around the top of the glass and dip in shallow dish of salt.
Cheers!
