NYC is experiencing its first wave of intense heat so far this season, and it has been brutal! I find it amusing how I complain about winter for so long and beg for the warm weather to finally arrive, only to immediately begin whining that, "it's too hot!" as soon as it happens. Hey, I'm a complicated being.

Wednesday night Marc and I met a friend at DUMBO House in Brooklyn. Neither of us had been before and were blown away by the amazing views. The only bad part? I managed to sweat through my dress before we even arrived, which is not the look I was going for. But, whatcha gonna do?

I ordered a cocktail, found some shade, and made the most of it!
