While it's oppressively hot and humid back in NYC, the English seaside is quite lovely this weekend. This evening Marc and I took a stroll along the sea front in Sidmouth, not far from where he grew up. As the sun began to set there was a chill in the air, yet people were still swimming in the ocean and having a great time as the weekend came to a close.

Beach days here are not quite the same as beach days back home, and that's not a bad thing! I love the peace and tranquility here. And being able to throw on a light jacket or sweater as the sun goes down is a welcome change from NYC these days.
